On February 6, 2024, the DPDO (Darfur Peace and Development Organization) extended its support to the Abu-Shouk hospital, which was the only operational hospital in the region. The support included the provision of injections, high blood pressure measurements, fever tests, medical stethoscopes, and lap coats for the medical staff. In addition to this, the organization also provided individual patient cases with the required medical assistance.
On January 15, 2024, the DPDO continued its support for the healthcare sector in Sudan by providing medical supplies to the Ministry of Health in North Darfur. The supplies included oxygen cylinders and masks, which were intended to support the South Side hospital in EL Flasher. The DPDO’s efforts towards providing the necessary medical equipment and supplies to the healthcare facilities in the region have been commendable and have helped in improving the overall healthcare infrastructure in the area.
